Award Winning Agency
Gary Wiebler, Daryl Forbes and Mark Fulmer attended the 2016 annual meeting of the American Association of Grain Inspection and Weighing Agencies (AAGIWA). There are 37 officially designated agencies (EIGIS is one) and 12 state agencies in the United States. There were over 130 attendees ranging from members, guest speakers, associate members (venders) and GIPSA/FGIS management. Topics on the agenda included historical perspective on grain marketing & inspection, new technology, customer needs, Canadian Grain Commission, future grain inspection needs, and FGIS updates on policies & procedures.
During a 1 year period, April 1, 2015 through March 31, 2016 FGIS conducted compliance reviews on 19 agencies using a detailed scoring system. At the banquet, Randall Jones – FGIS Deputy Administrator presented awards to 4 agencies and EIGIS was in this elite group. Mr. Fulmer accepted an Excellence Performance Award on behalf of the employees of EIGIS. This prestige award recognizes the great job each and every employee does on a daily basis.
